Terms of Service

1. What the service is

Suvarna Jodi is a self-service matrimony platform. It provides member profiles, search and filter tools, connection requests, private messaging, and subscriptions that unlock those features for a period of time.

We are not a marriage bureau and we do not provide matchmaking services. Specifically, we do not assign matchmakers or relationship managers, we do not create or hand-pick shortlists, we do not rank or promote members in exchange for a higher plan fee, and we do not contact members or their families on your behalf. You search, you choose, and you decide what happens next.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to register, and you must use the service for lawful matrimonial purposes only. If you are under 18, do not register. If you are using the service on behalf of someone else, you confirm you have their authority to do so.

3. Accounts and profiles

You must give accurate, current information and you must use your own identity. You are responsible for activity on your account and for keeping your login details confidential. One person may maintain only one account.

ID verification is optional. You can verify your ID to earn a verified badge, but profiles go live and remain usable without it, and no staff member manually reviews your profile before it becomes visible. Providing false information, impersonating someone, or using another person’s photograph may lead to permanent removal of the profile and suspension of the account.

4. Plans, payment and refunds

Plans are time-based. A plan unlocks connection requests and messaging for the period you have paid for, and the details of each plan are shown on the Plans page. Payments are processed through a secure third-party payment gateway on our behalf. Your plan activates automatically once the gateway confirms the payment, and we issue a receipt and invoice for it.

There is no plan-based limit on how many connection requests or messages you may send while your plan is active. We may limit automated, scripted or abusive behaviour, but not ordinary use of the service.

Plan fees are non-refundable except where required by law. Where a refund is approved, applicable statutory and payment-processing deductions may be withheld and GST is non-refundable. Please contact us before purchasing if you need the refund calculation, and we will provide it.

5. Connection requests and contact details

You can send a connection request to any member whose profile suits you. The request is private. A connection is confirmed only when both members accept.

Your mobile number, email address, address, income and any ID document are never displayed publicly. Your real contact details become visible to another member only after you and that member have both accepted a connection request. Before that, neither side can see the other side’s contact details.

After mutual acceptance, deciding what to share and how to continue the conversation is entirely between you. The platform does not verify claims made by members, and we are not a party to any arrangement, communication or interaction that takes place outside the platform.

6. Acceptable use

You agree that you will not:

• use contact details obtained from the platform for marketing, spam, harassment, stalking, fraud, or any other purpose;
• harass, abuse, threaten, blackmail or impersonate any member;
• upload another person’s photograph, or post content that is obscene, hateful, or unlawful;
• scrape, copy, or bulk-collect profiles, photos, or contact details;
• use the service for commercial solicitation, or for any unlawful, fraudulent, or commercial purpose;
• attempt to gain unauthorised access to the website, another account, or our servers.

Breach of this section may result in blocking, suspension, or permanent removal.

7. Reporting, moderation and suspension

Any member may report misuse through the Report Misuse page, and may block a member from their dashboard to stop that member messaging them. Suvarna Jodi reviews reports and may, at our sole discretion, remove content, restrict a profile, suspend an account, or remove it permanently.

We may also restrict or suspend an account where we have a reasonable belief that it is involved in fraud, harassment, impersonation, or a violation of these terms, including where a complaint is supported by credible evidence. Where the law requires it, we will follow the applicable process before suspending. Please note that suspending your account does not by itself entitle you to a refund.

8. No guarantee of any outcome

The platform is a tool for meeting other members. We do not verify the character, background, intentions, or claims of any member, and we do not guarantee that a connection will be suitable, safe, or lead to a marriage. Even a verified badge indicates only that a document was checked for identity, nothing more. Final due diligence, and all decisions about who to meet and how much to share, remain your responsibility and your family’s.

You are encouraged to meet in public or supervised places, to tell your family before sharing personal details, and to be cautious about anyone who asks for money. Report anything suspicious to us and, where appropriate, to the police.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Suvarna Jodi is not liable for any decision you make based on information or conduct on the platform, for the acts or omissions of other members, or for any loss arising from your use of the service or from communication with another member. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for any other liability that the law does not permit us to exclude.

10. Your content

You keep ownership of the photographs and information you upload. You grant us a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive licence to host, store, process, display and transmit that content, and to use it in the ordinary operation of the service, including watermarked biodata and profile exports, and for moderation and safety purposes. This licence ends when you delete the content or close your account, except for copies retained as required by law.

11. Suspension and termination

You may close your account at any time from your dashboard. We may suspend or close an account under section 7, or to comply with a lawful order or protect the security of the service. On termination, your right to use paid features ends, and your data is handled as described in the Privacy Policy.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows the latest revision. Material changes will be announced on the website or sent to your registered email address. Continued use of the service after a change means you accept the updated terms.

13. Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them. We also operate in accordance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, and our data practices are described in the Privacy Policy.
